Did I tell you; I ended up doing what you do - I had to check my students' blogpages. I was truly able to put myself in your shoes. It was great to see the kid so enthusiastic. We had to participate in MEDIA BLAST (please forgive me if I told you this before) wherein teachers lead a project using one of the "new literacies." I chose BLOGGING because, as usual, we received the mandate at the last minute. Next year, though, I want to do a PODCAST or COMIC LIFE project with my classes. HOORAY! I love what you have done to your blog page. Little things are the greatest things in the whole scheme of things...don't you think? Like finding a parking spot in a filled lot - even though you are late and expected there to be no spaces left. Or you're having a bad hair day, yet several people tell you..."You look MARVELOUS!" Or at the end of a very rough school year when you think you hate all the kids and can't wait for them to leave and you are sure they feel the same way about you - several of them hug you and say, "I'm going to miss you Mrs. Bailey!" Yep! The little things really matter. Glad you are enjoying your first summer class and REALLY hope to be in attendance for the one in August. However, we have not gotten any information about the course as of yet. I hope we are not notified at the LAST minute. I really want to take the course, but if the information does not get to me in a timely manner, I will proceed with other plans for the remainder of the summer. I want my page to look like yours.
